    Hello

Player viscosityone idled out on the 8th hole of 9, When game ended showed him winning round with score of 29. He never finished the round. Actually this might be an exploit.

    Thanks,

    GolfingSeti

Just a long term bug. No record is kept of stroke play results.

Long term bug? Sounds like someone should fix it someday. Just an idea...

Please come back tomorrow and tell us why it should be relevant.

    Bring proof.

Please come back tomorrow and tell us what you mean by " relevant ", and after that, explain " relevant " to what?

Or are you just desperate to splatter nonsensical irrelevancy on peoples inquiries? As already suggested by your 12,000 posts...

Better yet, unless you're a WGT staff member, and you're not, and who I was actually addressing in the first g'damn place, retire from my thread and go bother someone else, or whatever the hell it is you do for enjoyment.

    Thanks

I know that your ire wasn't aimed at me and I do try to post only helpful replies these days. (Not like during my teenage years)

I'd just like to point out that country club owners can't help but have high post counts as all posts within the club are counted in one's total.

Alosso is a grumpy old sod but he means well. :-)

    Courteneyfish,

Thanks for the interest and concern. Perhaps my experiences on these Forums are unique, but there are many indicators that it's not, as I've seen many people attacked and ridiculed here over what seem to be legitimate questions and complaints.

Losing a hard fought Stroke Play Round to an a-hole who eventually idled his way out of the round ( 5 min down time, or more? ) seems to be another legit problem worthy of note. Not only giving him the win, but recording his final score ( 29 ) which was his score on the 8th when he decided to go to the beer store or something and leave us hanging...

In light of all this, I've taken more time to browse bug/problem related posts and it truly appears most meet the same fate

    Harassment

    Ridicule

    Mean and or viscous slander

No help or response from WGT Staff

Zero resolve ( Even when addressed by WGT Staff )

I didn't post this glitch only to have some WGT ' player ' start demanding explanation from me and taking screen shots of every event of my WGT experience so that I might provide said  Player  " proof " of any damn thing.

WGT I'm sure has record of that round and can determine exactly what happened and why.

    Thanks again,

    GolfingSeti

GS: Dunno why you treat me bad?

I was polite - "please" - and my plea was decent. You weren't polite IMHO because you failed to search for the subject which has been asked and answered ad nauseam here.

Nevertheless, I just wanted to give you a night to think over. Now, what's the relevance today? None at all, IMHO. The aborted score was not registered but yours were. The "win" will never appear anywhere, the "winner" didn't even see it because he was absent when the final scorecard came up, and you may hopefully get more polite playing partners next time.

    It's but a wee glitch.

As for WGT, they have just given an answer of striking naivité in a parallel thread, with a tenor suggesting that they never heard of it. WE know that it has been around for ages and that it might be repaired manana, inadvertedly.

They are WGT, hope is futile.

    Alosso

Dante's Inferno, "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here."?

" GS: Dunno why you treat me bad? " That's what I was wondering when I read your reply.

I've re-read it and am still unable to see how I could have translated it any way other than a bit aggressive and rude. But I'm relieved to hear your suggest I'm wrong and I'll just leave it at that.

    Thanks for clarifying...

*edited to include.; Other than a " wee glitch "  Does the fact the WIN given to the wrong player not effect XP given?

It was never meant that way. I concede that you may have expected a different answer but that's not my fault - the other user answer was given by Courteney, more are in the forum history.

Not AFAIK. The XP points come from the strokes taken, the type of game and the no. of participants. The "Winner" "wins" nothing but the notion on the final scorecard, gone with the wind when you leave the game.

And yes, Hell's Gate is my primary mission statement concerning the company - see my profile ;)

Just to show you what I mean: A mod clarified a while ago that it's not their primary task here to give answers - this they leave up to us, mostly. Thus, you must not expect official answers here.

Any hope left? Drop it. My two Pfennig.
