rather condescending Jim, you play Rgs with lower winds and easier putting speeds - each to their own and as they say
"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone"
LOL
So people understand as well RGs vary in green speed - usually 9 - 14 stimp, and winds also vary. Yes some are low wind, and OK green speeds and the scores there are commensurately low to compete against. Overridingly they are not pitch n putt.
Whilst it has nothing to do with it I have no insistence that every one I play must include a cat o nine tails whipping at the 1st, not every time anyway :). I also seldom touch the real high credits stuff as just here for fun and ball costs where I can :) I do not underestimate some of the work that has gone in by genuine top players either. But enough about you lets talk about me :)...Seriously it's really not not about me:
My point being confused (at least could be to others reading IMO) about Andys front 9 Reds is:
A. One real v low standard for a so called top tier, and
B. not much revenue if starter balls or not much more are being used by the red army chasing the badge.
I think A. is a fair point for a top tier (next to anyway). I also have nothing against people playing reds and some have a game, but many are woeful on real tees though - woeful and it shows when you play them and watch them wonder what the long ones are for. Wind goes above 10 MPH and no scarf they get scared as well - pretty stats though, and now a badge to match :)
EDIT: I appreciate more to transpire and there is also a Top Cat new Tier..Wait n see, but so far not much chop:)
