    PaulTon:

    • Slider to control volume for in-game commentary

    • Additional bug fixes and error tracking improvements

    • New virtual goods from Nike, Cobra, Adams, TaylorMade, Callaway and Cleveland

    • Additional in-game commentary triggers

    • Set winds and green speed in multiplayer games

    • Set winds in single player ranked stroke play games

    • Ability to scrub green with putting grid while in putt mode

    • Post-rental discount on club purchases

That reads like a players wish list and I look forward to these improvements....

....it also makes me very nervous. I see a glitchy few months ahead.

looks real good on paper, i too look forward to these improvements, & im about 75k XPs from level 97 i wonder what kind of gear will be added?  not that i need any but if i can gain .5 here & .5 there im a sucker for new toys :)   ..

Long overdue one there but very welcome all the same.

    If it works properly..................

What does that mean?  : (

I'll have a guess at being able to move the putting grid around like you can in pitch/chip mode, but I'm not sure.

Or you can clean the area of green surrounding the hole after someone playing ahead of you got angry at a missed putt and took a dump in the hole?

I think I'd rather it was your suggestion.

    Wow everyone,

Thank you so much for all the great info.

I am now at level 73 and I have planned the following upgrades (when i reach the right levels and have the coins ...)

Driver:  Upgrade to the L79 Taylormade, than the L103 Taylormade

Wood: Upgrade to the L81 Ping G25, than L93 Max Hybrid

Irons: Upgrade to the L85 Nike VR, than to the L100 Nike Vapor

Wedges: Upgrade to the Cleveland 588's (56, 60, and 64)

Putter: Upgrade to the L77 Nike, than either L101 Nike (depending on whether I like the 10 meter or the 15 better)

Ball: Upgrade to the L81 Nike, then the L90 Nike.

My intent is to keep consistance in meter and balls as much as possible to be comfortable, yet able to handle the tougher conditions at the Legend (when I get there)

Obviously, I will be happy to consider new equipment when it rolls out ;)

    Ezzy

    Sea,

Thanks for the great advice and mapping.  I plan on getting the clevelands, so the mapping will help.

I used Kats program & others to create my own excel database.  So my shoting is getting better, and my putting is much more deadly.

    Cheers,

    Ezzy

    Hey Ezzy,

Seeing your post I thought I would chime in with my 2 cents worth.  Remember this is what worked/works for me.

The lvl 79 SLDR white is a great club.  I'm still using it, even though I also have the R15.  I'm adjusting to the faster meter speed of the R15 and the RSi2's and learning the irons first.

I used the lvl 81 Ping 3W (after comparing it to the lvl 73 X2Hot 3W = as good at half the price) until I got the lvl 89 Big Bertha.  Don't be put off by its specs, it's a better and more forgiving club than it shows.  And the distance is crazy long with a nike lvl 61.

The lvl 85 Nike VR's are great.  With them I was moved up to TM from Master after a Match Play win against a Legend in a CC vs CC tournament.

I used them until I could get the lvl 90 RSi2's.  Those hold the greens even better (especially longer irons) than the Nike's.  They are responsible for me being moved up to Legend early, after a TM tier tie for 1st place in a tournament, and a 3rd place in the Valhalla CTTH Virtual Tour TM tier event.  Great Clubs.

I have those Clevelands and love them, but as you will see in other posts the back spin is too much a lot of the time.  You just have to learn how to use it.  Close attention to green slope is a must.  Most shots done with 3/4 top spin to stop them without backing up the ball.

I currently use the Nike lvl 77 putter.  I was using a lvl 70 Versa, but found I like the 10 foot scale better.

I tried the lvl 81 Nike balls, and while they were OK, with my Rsi irons, I found the lvl 61's work just as well and are a little bit cheaper.  And the distances are right on with those irons.

Ironically I tried 1 sleeve of lvl 90 blacks, and found the distances were way off (short) compared to the lvl 61's with the same irons.  I actually liked the lvl 40 RZN Reds better. than the Blacks.   Distances were as accurate as the lvl 61's.  But the lvl 61's are 150 credits cheaper.

Legend is a challenge. Playing from the TIPS,  Faster green speeds and tougher hole locations make it hard.  But I'm sure you will do fine.

At these levels, it's probably best to use the free 2 hr rentals when they are available and try out anything you're interested in before you buy.  If necessary pay for a rental first.  You don't want to be stuck with equipment you're not comfortable with  Hope my feedback helps.

    Jeff
