Congratulations on your achievements with basic equipment!  After a few years of play it looks like you are ready to invest something to take you to higher goals.

Don't know what your budget is but I am pretty happy with the SLDR (L79+). A forgiving driver with nice distance to carry you into the Legend tier and probably beyond IMHO.

Others can comment on the Callaway X or Nike  Covert available to you at this level and the soon to be available Big Bertha at 88 for you.  Another consideration is to upgrade your starter balls to take full advantage of these higher level clubs, although you are doing pretty well with the starters and others still use them (and other basic equipment) succesfully at higher tiers.  -Keith

What's fun is that the first equipment that comes to mind is a 3000 cr driver.

For half the price you can get a very good wood (you can use it as driver and keep it for life) and 2 or 3 honnests wedges which will be much more useful than a driver.

Hamads solution was to buy the WGT Pro Driver as a T'our Master instead of as a Pro like most of us do. Almost the same length as the best  Wood 3 for much less money. With better equipment or maybe even without it Hamad will become a Legend quickly. Then his new Driver or any Wood 3 will look awfully short again.

But much more urgently needed for him is a good Iron set and better wedges. Especially when using free balls to save money a Spin 4.5 Iron set is invaluable. With them those free balls work almost as well as the expensive high end balls. Except for the extra length of course.

Spin less balls start to work decently with Spin 3.5 equipment. And they work very well with Spin 4.5 clubs. The club spin has a lot more influence than the ball spin for the total result.

As a tour master playing with good clubs and free balls one has a chance to get the invested money back from tournament wins. In the Tour master tier it is quite easy to place well in the weekly CTTH tournaments. Only the champions have it even easier because so far there are almost no people in that tier.

BTW To maximise the Tour Master money making opportunity avoid ranked rounds. Just play CTTH and Par 3 or Par 5 Stroke play courses that don´t count as ranked rounds. And of course practice rounds to add the usual stroke play courses to the mix.
