Is there something I need to change in my setting to help the game run smoother?

    JohnsonRA:

    Hi JohnsonRA,

Our golf game is played in your Web Browser in a separate window running on Adobe Flash. Therefore, if you're having trouble seeing or playing the game, then it's most likely an issue with your Browser or Flash, so it's best to clear your Browser Cache and Flash Cache.

    To clear your Browser Cache...

    1. It depends which Web Browser you have:

Chrome - click on the Wrench icon in the upper-right corner of the browser window, select Options-Under The Hood and Clear Browsing Data

Firefox - click on Tools in the menu and then options, click on Privacy and select the Clear All Current History option

Internet Explorer - click on Tools and then Internet Options, check the Delete Browsing History on Exit option, click OK on the bottom of the screen

Safari - click on the Gear icon in the upper right corner of the browser window, then select Preferences, select Privacy, then click on Remove all Website data

    2. Restart your Web Browser

    3. Note, WGT recommends using the Chrome browser from Google for the fastest game performance and automatically updated browser plug-ins

    To clear your Flash Cache...

    1. Visit Macromedia Adobe at: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager03.html

    2. In the Global Storage Settings Panel, change the Global Storage Settings to 100K or higher, and select the "Allow Third-Party Flash Content..." and "Store Common Flash Components..." options

    3. In the Website Privacy Settings Panel, click Delete All Sites to clear the Flash Cache

    All the Best,

Most of the above comment is crap! There are so many glitches and bad programming that cause this, its unbelievable. Get a new system, only play wgt and use it for nothing else, and more than likely you'll encounter problems, and WGT will help by telling you to cleat browser and flash cache.

I too am having very slow page loading and game play since the latest update.

All i can offer is to use memory fox if you are a Firefox user.It doesn't help fully, but at least the site is bearable.

There is one thing that never ever gets mentioned when talking about the game and how it plays and runs, everyone gets fixated on the Flash aspect of the game and it's problems. It's easy to do, me included.

Flash is the development platform, ASP is the delivery 'container' the game runs within - People who develop Flash games, as well as other applications, will tell you ASP is a horrid thing to work with.

The streaming and delivery issues this game has are not entirely Flash issues, some are, but the lagging out and other browser related problems as well as multiplayer lag etc, that's more than likely coming from the ASP end of things.

    Rubbish.

Prove (provide empirical proof) that ASP is worse. Than what, by the way?

And how do you know that WGT is using ASP?
