Real golf allows a player to place their tee anywhere within the tee markers. This game (WGT) does not allow that---why?

Relative to the same issue we should be able to determine where to drop (within the legal limits) a ball after a penalized shot.

    I agree. For both ideas.

This one is easy...they never took photos for multiple tee positions.  It would cost a lot of money to go back to these courses and take more pictures.  Rather shortsighted that they put all of them in the middle of the tee box, but we just have to take it like it is.  I know one thing for sure, I would get as close to the right tee marker on BPB #2 every time I step on the box.

Agree full here.  Have played a couple rounds IRL at Kiawah Ocean Course and almost every hazard is staked (red or yellow) yet we get charged stroke and distance.  I've accepted it and play safe on many sketchy holes, but when I get hit with a drop in the sand on Kia 17 after a meter spike put me in the water, it takes all I have to keep from losing my mind.

Now all that said, many of our GIR and Fairways hit stats are still far better than the best of the best PGA pros.  With ability to tee anywhere between the markers or take drops within USGA or R&A specs this game might turn into cartoon golf like TWO.

This game will never mimic real golf but it's about as close as anything out there.  My only wish is for WGT to control the hecklers yelling in my downswing causing meter to freeze of spike.  :)

Is there any way to make it more authentic after a lost ball too? I mean like the drop shot thing sure, but also the red faced angry farmer on his quad bike holding a piece of mangled reaping machine and the remains of your ball clearly visible within the wreckage,as he gesticulates with a furled fist in time honoured fashion remonstrating vehemently with you as you inspect your skirt where HIS barbed wire tore it as you hastily climbed back over the fence?

Apparently stating in Sloane English that "I am sorry, but I do not speak English" was not the response he was seeking.

At the very least they should give us the choice to re-tee from the same spot rather than take a goofy drop when we hit into a hazard from the tee.

Yes forgot that part BTB. Not worth the effort of all the photos. But they could let us drop where we wanted to they took pictures of that.
