Great match with Mke (MBowe), great conversation, some really good laughs and just a lot of fun to play with. I started fast and held on despite some incredible putting by Mike on the back. Thanks for a great game Mike!

Also reporting, Thomo is a victor 4 up on our side.

    Well that ends this competition.

The SEL Thunder Chicken narrowly beat SEL Gardenpatch Gnomes in the final. Calm Water CC wins the bronze medal match, by beating the Las Vegas Knights.

Id like to thank Tuxedo2 & Twinponds for their hard work during the tournament. Also to all the participants for playing their games. Hope u all enjoyed it.

    Over and out.

This was a fun competition and enjoyable to be part of. Thanks to all concerned for setting it up and getting it played and congrats to the Thunder Chickens for taking the trophy home with them.

    Cheers.

Great time, lots of fun and some new friends. How can you go wrong? Thanks to Nico for the invitation and also to Tuxedo2 for a great job on the forum link. Looking forward to doing it again sometime. Lets explore a year round league maybe?

Above is a great idea, and just what country clubs should be looking into to bring life into game. Yeah we and other clubs have their own club comps and internal matchplay, but a league where you play say each month would be spot on.

We have lots of friendlies and in fact have one ongoing now, but poss an 8 man team, (we could have 3 comfortably, calm waters also and Tux would poss get a couple), plus im sure PaulFinn would be in on it with a team also as he does this in his xmas comp..........Something to chew on.

    thx bubbs for mentioning me

i am very interested in this idea,

play 9 or 18 holes, different formats each time

we could have a couple of leagues, bit like a football league or simple 1,,2,3,4 etc.

have maybe 4,6,8  teams in each league playing each other home and away over over so many  weeks .

bottom team in each  division  gets relegated and the 4th and 5th team have a play off to see who follows,

division  winner  would go up and the 2nd and 3rd having a play off to see who gos up.

you can have what you like in tiers but a handicap system would be put in place.

im sure we could get some interest in this venture.

keep me posted please and any help you might need,im always on

    paul
