  I just finished playing someone in the Champion Tier in a Match Play scored event.  He was the first Champion I have played against.  I won 3 up.  What I noticed is:

  1) My average did not move (which is fine) but I would have thought it would have gone down slightly.  The average of the guy I played was in the 50's.

  2) On my stats page it showed I am 1-0 vs a Champion but I received 0 Match play points for the month.  This was the first match play event I have played in this month.

  Anyone else noticed their not getting match play points for these new tiers?

  Once you reach legend, beating a higher tiered player in MP has no effect on average.

  Yep,  I tried that when TL first came out.  I beat a TL as a Legend and was no change.  

   

  Also,  I totally forgot about the match play points system LOL.   AFAIK, they are worthless anyway.

  Thanks for the reply and info Paul.  I had not read that before.  I guess that just leaves why did I not receive any monthly points for it? ( Not that it matters just seems like it might be a bug with these new tiers).  It seems like all of the other matches I have played the points have been instantaneous on my stats page.

  The FAQs contain a table of Match Play Points - no mentioning of the new tiers.

  While it's custom and practice that game changes are only later implemented there, I'd see it as imaginable that the new tiers do not exist in these calculations => zero points.

  I suppose you're correct alloso and as far as I know the only thing you can win with the points is a trophy.  I think you have to earn 500 points in a month for that. 

  I won't lose any sleep over it and truth be told, I would rather have a new course then for them to fix the Match Play points for the new tiers. lol

  If it didn't make a difference and move an average before it sure as heck shouldn't now.  It's hasn't been that long that those ladies tee tournaments counted on your average, but many of the current higher tiered players have false averages now because of them.  Saying a Champion with an average in the 50's should move a lower tiered players score would be a joke especially with the saturation process thrown into the mix.

  All that said, I think congratulations are in order...a 60 avg legend beat a 50 (something) average Champion by 3 strokes?...very well done.

  When I went two up I thought he was just toying with me. Lol
