  175 yrd shot, 7-10 mph wind, hit club 185 w/forward spin--result???? 17yrds short!!! That is just bull droppings!!!!!!!!!!!! Period, no if, ands or buts

  elevation?   direction of the wind?   In my experience, top spin (forward spin)  into a head wind gets the ball on the ground too quickly leaving your shot victim to slope on the ground.   

  Have a replay of the shot?

  Hadn't thought about forward spin driving the ball down, but guess that makes sense. Yet, it wouldn't make it 17 yrds short I would not think. This is just another example of being "WGT'd" IMHO. (And no, I did not save a replay).

  17 yds would be 10% of shot distance.  It's possible, depending on the course you were playing.  The ball will roll better on the links type courses, like  pinehurst #2, ST. Andys, etc, that on a course like Merion or Olympic .  Something to consider.

  I  also  had  i wgt snaffoo   was playin  ready go 1000 credit buy in  had  a 20ft putt  2in dwn  on champ 14 green.....  i hit  12 ft  and as the ball  approached the hole it was like magnet took over and drew the ball  49ft  to edge of green  ....... complete  f',n   bull   

  replay                      anyone who believes  this game  doesnt have built in computer generated glitches  is a complete  idiot ....

  sadly the replay doesnt show  the power of my shot   ... i will be recording any and all  games from now on  its time this bullsh!t   is exposed !!!!!!!!!!

  The G20's ball flight isn't as high no spin as Nikes. if you play a less lofted club like the 5 iron with top spin that ball flight will nose dive considerably. Sometimes in that wind( presumably against) you are better clubbing up to a 4 iron with full bs and take a tad off. the wind will elevate the shot and land soft. The shot you played with them clubs is very low %  because of their mid to high flight.Esp with  the weaker GIS Balls.

  While all these answers are good answers and all should be considered as reasons of the outcome of the shot....you are all overlooking one thing that should almost always be done with most shots into the wind. The type of shot plays a huge roll when shooting into the wind. And I have found that the best shot for all shots into a high wind, anywhere from 40+ yards, is the punch shot with full backspin. This shot also works very good when shooting out of the rough. Practice this shot and you will see a huge difference in shot accuracy.
