I am on the fairway, yet it pops up saying a ball has been removed from my bag. I did NOT go into water hazard or out of bounds. I have had to buy 4 sleeves of balls now because of this happening. What's up? Why would game remove a ball from my bag if I hit into the fairway?

    Hi JoeUbelhor,

Thanks for the post. Just as in real golf, if you hit a virtual golf ball into the water or out of bounds, you must replace it with a different ball. Also, when you play with a real golf ball it begins to lose compression and eventually becomes less playable. We have a similar concept in WGT where balls purchased from the Pro Shop have a durability factor and will wear out as you use them. You get roughly three rounds of golf with each ball before it wears out.

When a ball wears out you will receive the message that the ball has been "Taken Out of Play".

When a balls wears out, it is automatically replaced by another ball of the same type from your inventory. If you have none of the same type, they are replaced instead with a free WGT starter ball. Please check the FAQ to learn more about golf balls.

    All the Best,

OMG - same old tale of "lose compression" and "wear out" :(

Fact is, custom balls have a lifetime limited by the strokes a player makes. Known numbers are between 90 to 125 strokes depending on ball type. After the last stroke, they are displaced.

Below the ball symbol down right, there is a scale which indicates the count (but not the exact number). Red scale means 25% (or strokes?) are left.

Same scale is in the inventory for single balls.
