Short hopefully! Been here 5 years through many changes. I've learned some tricks and I'm still learning. Lucky to make 4 or 5 birdies in a round, but have made perfect birdies in 9 holes but never 18. I get within 10-15 feet sometimes, pretty good at putting as long as it's within a 2 cup break. Anything more than 2 cups will more than likely miss 7/10 times for me. Some courses are easier, some harder. To memorize a CTTH course was never something I wanted to do. Never took any notes on paper (although i should have.) Love stroke, skins, match, even blitz was fun to hear the "heartbeat". (why this isn't implemented in stroke play is beyond me, it really is exciting to know you're gonna be close hearing that heartbeat as soon as the ball leaves the clubhead.) I will say, taking notes is one thing, actually doing what is required to make great shots is another. I couldn't care less about hitting that dinger unless a shot or putt requires me to do just that. One pixel (any visible movement on the meter or scale equivalent to a smidgeon) can make all the difference on power and with contact on the ball (dinger) You have to be pretty darn precise to be a good golfer at WGT( and luck of course.) All said and done, this is how golf should be. We have GREAT record breaking rounds, and then we have just an average round, and then we have BAD rounds where we miss all our birdie putts by inches or lip the cup. It happens to me. I will never understand how anyone consistently makes birdies on every course, every day, even with all the notes taken and shots memorized. Because, the HUMAN factor comes into play. The human factor is error. Sometimes we can recover with another great shot or 50 ft. putt that falls, but the mistakes SHOULD be there. It IS in real life and it SHOULD be here in virtual golf. I understand it's only a computer, but a human is operating that mouse, touchscreen or Ipad., etc It just makes the game more realistic and fun, especially when you want your opponent to make a mistake because you did...lol
Happy mistake making,
