    Good day fellow WGT'ers

I was recently promoted to the new tier,  I am enjoying the new challenges the game presents to me. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the friends I routinely play with, that are not of the same tier. I now find myself playing a lot of solo rounds simply because of my level of difficulty ie. green speeds, constant gale force winds etc. End result is simply a non-enjoyable round by the others I play. I know for me personally, golf has always been about inner competition ... trying to better yourself each & every time. But I get just as excited when a buddy nails his/her approach to within inches or drains a 30 footer for eagle.

I guess what I'm trying to say, is their game shouldn't suffer because of my advancememt. Is it not possible for their settings to remain constant and what their tier provides?

Unfortunately Switz some will look at this as a learning challenge and will want to try the new green speeds before they have them, after all they will one day have to play on them as well. The only real true option you have is to play them in practice rounds

Set up your games as practice, then you can control the settings.

Happy hitting....     and congrats on the 'Tour Master' status

Besides, the only thing that really changes that makes a difference is the green speed. I like to warn opps ahead of time if their tier is different than mine about the green speeds. They default to mine, or a Legend if we're AS, and a tip on how to handle them is generally appreciated.

Maybe you could clue them to what the difference is and still enjoy equal competition.  :-)

Thanks for the feedback gentlemen, I appreciate it. perhaps it's just the 'caregiver' trait coming out in me lol

I just want their gaming experience to be as enjoyable as mine. I've tried forewarning them but then again, I am still working out the new challenges so my 'advice' or tips are just uneducated guesses thus far.

I know we can set games up as practice rounds and have our most favourable conditions but then no stats or personal achievements are recorded, which I like to think we all play for.

Again, thanks for the feedback, hope the courses are treating you all well.

    Thanks m8

I held a steady 63 ave for quite some time. I hit 62.87 and was upgraded :) Just a guess but I'm thinking once you dip under 63, the promotion is yours.
