I get that I was going for a risky shot here (and missed the ding badly), but should this really be OB???  The ball is still clearly on the mini-map so I am confused.  If this is in fact a bug, you might want to get your support guys on this before the course is officially released.

Not a bug.  You went OB and that is part of the risk reward with that hole.

That's fine if it is OB, but where are the white stakes to indicate the OB area?

Previously we've been told if it was visible on the mini-map then it was in-bounds, now you are saying that is not the case.

Please indicate where OB really is. You should not have to find out after you play a shot.

Or are your course designers (programmers) confusing OB with a lost ball?

It went down the cliff, see view #3. OOB or lateral water, all the same there. Would you want to go diving for the ball?

I've played Pebble around 8 or 9 times. Hole # 8 has no OB. If your ball doesn't go overboard, you play it.

Can not remember the hole, but there is another that is this same situation.  Miss slightly right and get outside the bunker and it will be out of bounds.  You can see 2 different views that are almost the same.  One will have a shadow area where it lands, the other doesn't.

Playing Nicklaus Golf I've been on the beach on #8 more than once. haha

The replay is showing hole #4, I believe. FWIW

Well, thanks for the in-depth analysis of the situation.  Like ColumbusStorm mentioned, there are no visible white stakes to indicate OB on this hole.  We have previously been told that if the ball is on the mini-map that it is not OB.  I'm just wondering how many 200+ credit balls will be lost here before you have a mutiny on your hands.

The red line approximately marks the righthand minimap boundary of PB #4.

How would anybody possibly play from out there?

There is a real simple way to not lose a ball.... Hit a 3W, leave it short of the green.  It is a fairly easy wedge shot into the green  Like I said it is a risk reward shot and if you decide to go for the green losing a ball is quite possible.
