    Hi Alan,
Thank you for contacting World Golf Tour Member Services.

Our golf game is played in your Web Browser in a separate window running on Adobe Flash. Therefore, if you're having trouble seeing or playing the game, then it's most likely an issue with your Browser or Flash, so it's best to clear your Browser Cache and Flash Cache.

    To clear your Browser Cache...

    1. It depends which Web Browser you have:

Chrome - click on the Wrench icon in the upper-right corner of the browser window, select Options-Under The Hood and Clear Browsing Data

Firefox - click on Tools in the menu and then options, click on Privacy and select the Clear All Current History option

Internet Explorer - click on Tools and then Internet Options, check the Delete Browsing History on Exit option, click OK on the bottom of the screen

Safari - click on the Gear icon in the upper right corner of the browser window, then select Preferences, select Privacy, then click on Remove all Website data

    2. Restart your Web Browser

    3. Note, WGT recommends using the Chrome browser from Google for the fastest game performance and automatically updated browser plug-ins

    To clear your Flash Cache...

    1. Visit Macromedia Adobe at: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager03.html

    2. In the Global Storage Settings Panel, change the Global Storage Settings to 100K or higher, and select the "Allow Third-Party Flash Content..." and "Store Common Flash Components..." options

    3. In the Website Privacy Settings Panel, click Delete All Sites to clear the Flash Cache

If this doesn't help, please contact us with details on the problem and we'll help you get back to playing the game.

    Thank You,
    WGT Member Services

One thing, the so called memory leak is not a WGT problem as such. It is an Adobe flash issue that affects every site that uses flash. At least one site is affected even more than WGT. My daughter is on Pogo.com a lot and I play a little. Their flash based games are so slow with slow loading caused by flash it reminds me when flash was first introduced how slow everything loaded.

They must have changed how flash handles memory.

    A couple of things Joe

-Slow loading is not the issue here.  Increased RAM usage while playing the game is the issue.

-IIRC, there is at least one player who experiences the memory leak problem that uses an old version of Flash.  So it can't be due to a flash change.

-WGT is not as sure as you: From the 12/3 Upcoming Product Release post "WGT R&D to look into potential flash memory issues"

LMAO, that is pretty much what I said in a reply.

So in response to the incompetence displayed from "Customer Non-Service" department, I will simply not play outside of current commitments in team events.

I am passionate about a company offering excellence in customer service, and the best gauge of that is when things go wrong.

Perhaps as a non-nation member, my complaints get put to the side, but is that a way to treat ANY customer? WGT has a total contempt and is condescending and arrogant to the end users.

I have little doubt that revenues are falling as more and more play less or quit. Great business plan WGT.

Edit - The second reply was fair, addressed the issue and whilst not a perfect resolution, they were sensible.

More human interaction, less computer generation before you lose players.
