can you add on the meter where not to strike for duff shots, especially out the rough.Would really improve gameplay.

    EDIT:

The worse the lie, the more accurate you must ding the meter.  It is very difficult to hit a quality shot out of heavy rough so be sure to check out the lie percentage (lower left) (lower right) before hitting a shot that is not on the fairway.  You will always lose distance and accuracy from those lies...sometimes the best advice is take your medicine and simply get the ball back on the flat stuff. Think of it as a one stroke penalty for hitting the poor shot that got you there.

There is some helpful info in the FAQs over there----------->

From what you are saying out of the rough is hit and miss on average from real golf. From what ive experienced this is far from accurate. You could call it a flaw with the game, but duff shots occur especially from around the greens even if you hit them on the dinger, you could put 2 lines,1 either side of the dinger to produce a consistant shot with the club in hand, outside of these lines could then be a duff,i.e. some clarity to the rough shots,I think you would find alot of other wgt players agreeing with me.

simsy-You don't mention anything about the backswing so I'm wondering if maybe you're trying to use a partial swing. If this is the case swinging less than 70% of full is going to get you in trouble every time. You can ding it until the cows come home but it will muff every time.  You cannot be timid with those shots. GL

I'd have to disagree with you on that.  Shots from the rough in real golf are a hit and miss.  Every lie is different, the grass is unpredictable and, like YJ said, how hard you hit the shot makes all the difference.  The ding line is your target...miss it, especially from heavy stuff,  and you'll pay the price.  Another problem is these are shots we don't practice much.
