    Hello,

I have yet to purchase any clubs.  I've saved up some credits and I'm leveling up.  I need some advice on what to purchase.

I'm having a hard time deciding between the K15 full set and the Level 48 Rapture set.  The Rapture set adds 5 yards of distance per club and one bubble of precision while sacrificing a half bubble of forgiveness.  The Rapture set is only 200 credits more.  I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty terrible at hitting perfect shots.  I can keep it close, but I'm no where near consistent with it.  Both have the same meter speed, so no change there.  Anyone have any thoughts?

My second choice is a putter.  I'm thinking about the Spider, Redwood, and Rossa.  The Spider has that super slow meter speed and an extra bubble of forgiveness, but loses two bubbles of precision and a half bubble of balance.  The other two are identical except for the Rossa having a slower meter speed.  Based on what I've read, everyone recommends the Redwood and the Rossa has negative reviews.  However, based on the stats that wouldn't make much sense.  I am terrible at hitting the perfect mark on my putts, and putting has become very frustrating.  I line up a putt, have perfect distance/speed, but because I barely missed the center line my ball veers either left or right.

Any help would be much appreciated!!!

Edit: I imagine this post has been made several times.  I skimmed this forum and didn't find what I was looking for.  I apologize if this post is misplaced or redundant.

The Raptures are superior to the K15s.

Go for the Rosa (Daytona.)  I've never used the Spider, but I've heard mostly complaints by those who have.  The Redwood doesn't look much better... it has extra dots, but the meter speed is faster, and it's almost twice the price.

I definitely appreciate the advice!  I see now I need to clarify.  The putters I am speaking of are the Spider, the Level 44 Redwood, and the Level 55 Daytona/Rossa.  Thanks again!

There are two differences between the Daytona and the Redwood.

    Daytona scales 15,30,60,90.150,300.

    Redwood scales 15,30,45,90,150,300.

The other difference is the meter speed, with the Daytona having a significantly slower one.

I like the 45 scale on the Redwood but I find that the slower meter speed of the Daytona increases the chance to ding the put.

With these higher precision putters dinging is preferable to the offset putting method. (I do use the offset method for putts 7ft and under).

As for the Spider putter............. the low precision on this club makes it very unpredictable. Just look in the bag of the better players (not me) and count the number of Spider putters in play..........

To sum up...... if you can wait for level 55, the daytona would be the way to go. If you want to get something sooner, the Redwood is a very good putter.

    Happy hitting

If you subscribe to Nivlac's putting method laid out in the Putting Tips you take the meter speed out of the equation by using higher scales for shorter putts. This makes the Redwood worth it.

The level 44 Redwood is one of the best putters in the game IMO...period.

But looking at your level and what's in your bag right now, here is what i would suggest:

    1. Get a decent driver upgrade. The 247 yd Rapture is available to you right now and the 250 yd G10 will be next level.

    2. Get the TaylorMade z satin 60 degree wedge and ditch that stock wedge they stick you with.

    3. Get a couple sleeves of the Tour SD balls. At 65 credits a sleeve, they are one of the best values and provide good increases in spin and distance.

Do these three things and let them get dialed in for about 10 levels or so then you will be able to add some better wedges and a much better set of irons.

    Good luck
