I simply cannot get around WGT's 'shaky meter' syndrome.  I have a Windows 7 OS, I5 processor, running Chrome with no other programs running, and the WGT tab is the only one open.  I have noticed that the shaky meter is more prevalent on certain holes, the meter is very unsteady on some holes but smooth on others.  That seems to be consistent each time I play those holes.

I have a brand new mouse but (ONLY) while playing WGT does the mouse 'halt' or momentarily 'freeze' while moving about the page.  This does not occur on ANY other web pages that I visit.

Occasionally, while setting my swing strength meter, the meter will release without me releasing the mouse button.

These symptoms have caused great frustration with this game.  I know 'it's only a game', but if I'm going to invest my time playing, I would like to recommend it to others as more than 'somewhat enjoyable'.

Generally, you might try another browser, e.g. Firefox or Maxthon.

You should also keep CPU load to a minimum, closing as many programs and processes possible. And, observe CPU load and take your time before shots.

If you are on a wireless mouse, change to a simple wired one or at least check&replace the batteries.

That is by design if you are holding the swing more than 15 seconds.

You are not alone in this, but there are things to look at on your end. Make sure you have no background updates happening (like chrome has plenty) you're not checking emails every XX mins, things like that. Run task manager to see if it points you in the right direction.

    Good luck.

Courteney quite often points out that if your meter is stuttery on certain holes, then you may have reflections set to on in the options. It certainly affects the meter for me on holes with water.

Chrome 45 or newer has the dreaded "Pepperflash" player as your only option for playing WGT.  Pepperflash causes big problems as you have experienced.  I would strongly recommend playing WGT in a different browser that supports plugins or download Chrome 44.
