Been around for a few years now, and I'm addicted to this game, but I don't live on here as some do. Own a CC for over three years now, see them come and go and actually have a good core group.  A lot of us came up through the tiers over a year or two or three to get to Legend. I had a gent get to Legend in 3 months on a PC about three years ago, but he lived on here.  I've had more than a few conversations with phone and Pad players, some will tell you point blank it's easier than playing on a PC, while others reverse that notion, but they're the first to jump off the PC after playing live and go to those Pads for tourneys, etc. In the last year I've had several players go from the starter tiers to Legend in the minimum time of play, one missed the perfect match of scoring, and ranked rounds by ONE game to Legend. Plays entirely on a IPAD or phone. Now I see more of these non-PC players lining up for Legend tier in less than a year. And one is not far off from Tour Legend, again with the minimum amount of play.....Start the BS now, is playing on a phone or IPAD easier???? What do you say WGT?????

Been wondering that myself lately after seeing some meteoric rises from newcomers that don't seem to be multis. I'm inclined to think it must be easier somehow. Personally I cannot imagine playing on my phone or pad, have not even thought to try to. I like kicking back in my recliner with my 24 inch monitor about 3 feet from me, feet up and hands free but for clicking the mouse. Playing on a mobile device would tie up both my hands and I must keep the drinking hand free or my game would really go to rot, lol.

As far as tournaments go (besides RG's and Brackets), there is only one tournament per week that pays credits.

Harder or easier? For a newbie, it would be harder. It took me a while to get used to it. The putting dots don't move accordingly, and you pretty much have to over-compensate for breaks, and...hope for the best.

To see how the new folks get good scores. Log out, clear everything (cookies, cache, adobe cache, etc). Open the game client, and play as a guest. You can do nothing wrong. Very easy to putt from anywhere on any green and 90% will go in.

Once WGT brings more options to the Mobile, I think it'll be great. It will never be what the PC version is, and there will never be a VT or U.S. Open win via mobile.

I play it semi-regularly (once or twice week), and enjoy it. It's different, so maybe it's just that it feels like playing a new golf game, although it's still WGT and same courses we have here.

The meter is always smooth. Never jumps or jerks (thanks to not having to deal with flash).

With that said, the Mobile version is still in it's infancy, and will definitely be the best golf sim on a mobile platform (already is, actually).

Here's a look at Congressional B9 on Mobile (also have Bandon VT, and BP F9 mobile videos) Click the title to watch it on You Tube. Might be easier to see.

Started in August 2014 and was at Legend by early November after playing like an animal day in and day out.  Used the iPad a few times but it just sucks.  PC all the way sans boosters for me.

However, I don't recommend this approach; I had to take a long rest from the game after 5 months and have never really gotten back into it.  Burnt myself right the hell out.  Plus, you get the guys questioning if you're a multi or not, and rightfully so, I suppose; when I play guys that have been online smacking for 5 years and have just recently reached Legend, they don't really understand how it's possible for someone to do it in 3-4 months even though it's quite easy for a gamer who had been playing Playstation/Xbox TW golf for 6-8 years prior to joining the WGT.

I’m a Tour Legend with and avg of 58. I always playing on Ipad and since the new beta PC version, I have downloaded it to give it a try.

What I can say and noticed to compare both is the following :

    1) on Ipad the DING 🛎 missing is way less permissive since I turn TL. If I miss by a hair on a 200 Yds straight 6 or 12 O clock wind , I would be easily 4 Yds off the pin. That not happen on PC. So missing DING on side and lateral winds are getting even worst results and it just too much brutal ! Its a real crap. I watched a lot of top notch players on TWITCH. They all playing the new PC version. They all missing dings both ways and it seems to me that they don’t have that problem even playing in hurricane winds they can send darts to the pins. I am wondering if all higher tiers players are facing the same on mobile version ? 🤔 I don’t know. Ive tried the new PC version and it  seems to me that its the case. So there’s probably the reason why all the Top notch players are playing PC.

    2) Putting on green 13 : I finish often by lipping the cup or the ball stay hocked on the lip and wont sink in. So there, regarding this I think thats its not different on PC.

I've been playing the desktop version for the last nine years and have recently moved on because of Flash going.

Took me a couple of weeks to get used to it and I now think it's a great improvement.

I'm over 70 years old, have poor vision and arthritis in my hands / fingers, so was ready for the change.

I play on a ten inch Android tablet which costs about £100 in our electronics stores and the game is definitely easier / more enjoyable.

I might even make Tour Legend soon :-)

    lol
