MistressCosette:.it's hard to put good spin on it.
Tape a piece of string on them, then on the other end of the string, thumbtack them to something high.
Then hit the side of them with your hand or anything else you have at hand. A pesky gopher. Should get enough spin that way. I can tell you how to use rockets to do the same thing, but it is more entailed.
A lot more fun though.
Also never forget the principle of suck,squeeze, bang, blow... The ever clever jet engine workings.
Air intake, compress it, light it up with fuel, and blow it out the back end. Spin like you've never considered.
