    Hello Wgters

    My name is Yancy.

I asked for opinions and such on this before - but the time is truly near for me.

It seems to me that I should get them 2010 Rapture V2 Iron Set (Graphite) (L48+).

Let me tell yas about my game overall. I drive the ball fine - not saying I dont need a better driver howevers.

My irons are either nice and tight or 25 feet away.

My long range putting has gotten bad - but I am doing ok from 12 feet and in - mostly.

Any ideas on what a common feller needs in me situation would be most appreciated.

    Heres me current stuff:

    Thank You - Sincerely, YancyCan

I can't speak for those irons but G10s should be where you go IMO. For sure get the Satin77w and a Redwood putter. If you do OK with the Anser you will love the Redwood. Just give yourself time to learn it. The wedge goes nicely with what you already have.

I'd recommend the L48 Rapture Irons - I use them and I love them. With those irons you can take the hybrid away and use 3 wedges - your 64 is good and I'd add the Z Satin 56 and the Tour W 60 for a nice set of wedges. Since you hit from Pro tees, no other driver is needed. And yes, the RW is good - I had have the Anser and I think it sucks, but now have the L72 RW and it's real fine.

    Hope it helps you out!

Bossman, I gotta go with exactly what YJ said. I had both the Raptures and G10's and

G10's will see ya thru the long haul. Ditto the Redwood.

Definitely being agreeable with the G10's vs's the Raptures. I too had the Raptures at one point. The G10's however drastically improved gameplay for me. The Redwood is also a fantastic addition, I'm just waiting for the laser guided edition to come out, to help with the breaks.

    Happy Hitting

I have tried most of the clubs over time. Each upgrade was enjoyable with time. My suggestion to anyone, based upon what I have experienced, would be to go with the fastest meter available, spend the month or so to recondition your finger timing and get used to where you will end up anyway.

Ultimately SP, YJ and SM are all right on the money, but it depends if you want to do the intermediate bit to get up into that master/TM level, maybe the Raptures will get you that far. Get you on the dance floor, slow-dance meter thing.

Long haul, long story short, the G10s are the thing to have. Super accurate, nice spin, and best of all the high trajectory boring down onto those greens. It's a question of taking on that pretty quick meter.

In other words, in my case, Rapture took me out of the doldrums and got me to Master (under the old system), and from then it's been G10s all the way.

Putter: Daytona Rossa is superb with a slow meter. Redwood Master putter is better if you can handle the faster meter. Worked wonderfully on the rare ding, but moren'likely'll give you the heebie-jeebies, done me.

PS Git yousef some nice wedges. I like the Ping ones for accuracy and spin and consistent meter speed (rated at 60/75/95 yards, but different permutatables are considerable).

Yes, Zag very true. My only view is in reverse. I would much rather learn the faster meter from shorter tees. From the Legend tees, you better already know.

I certainly appreciate evryone being all generous with their knowledge and whatnots. Got a day or two to mull...but there seems a consensusables here.

This is why WGT is better than whatever. The peoples.
