Can anyone PLEASE tell me why just prior to turning Master my putting was deadly and now the swing meter consistently jumps past the ding mark no matter where a seem to click it. This is not just whining. I've seen a dramatic difference and it's starting to p- me off.

As I recall many promotions, I can't say that I have ever seen a common link between a green speed change and a jumpy meter. I only recall the discomfort of adjustment to the change. I would bet this issue you speak of will disappear as unannounced as it came.

Tour Pro and Master both have very fast greens, so this is not the reason.

But, some say that lower tiers have smoother game conditions, not only winds but also overall forgiveness. May have to do with that, or it's an unnoticed local update(?)

Firstly if the problem with the meter is during putting only then  in the game options make sure you have the putting grid set to off. With the putting grid set to on your meter can have some problems.

Second have you had a flash update lately? If so the version of flash that you have might not be stable with the browser you are using.  If the putting grid is set to off you might try some other browsers to see if there is a difference in game play with one of them. Some flash/browser combinations just don't work as well as others.

Hey 'born', this worked like a charm. Got my fluid mater bar back. No jumping and jitter. Really appreciate the tip.

Which supports the notion that a jumpy meter occurs when your computer's CPU is busy doing multiple things, like playing the green grid graphic or other software applications running in the background, during the swing.
