Remember, WGT can't fix Adobe Flash, which has been a flawed computer program format for gaming for years. I'm sure the techs here do their best and do read complaints, so cut them a little slack, as they are at the mercy of Adobe with each new version released.

Here is the latest Flash version (as of this post) 3/10/2016 – Updated debugger and standalone versions of Flash Player. These versions contain fixes for critical vulnerabilities identified in Security Bulletin APSB 16-08. The latest versions are 21.0.0.182 (Win and Mac) and 11.2.202.577 (Linux). All users are encouraged to update to these latest versions. This page linked below is the Adobe support page, which also includes all new downloads and debug info.http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/debug_downloads.html .

The Google Chrome browser updates to the latest version of Flash if you have settings correctly checked in the Chrome browser, so there's no need to download Flash if you use Chrome.

Also, when playing with several players realize you may be connecting with people running different browsers, operating systems, computer software, platforms, PC and/or MAC, which causes issues in itself.

This game/or Adobe has a memory leak, forcing your PC's to allocate more RAM, especially during long matches. Here are some tools that have helped me avoid disconnects.

One: Make sure you are running the latest, proper Flash version. This page will show you what Flash version you have, and provide a how-to and uninstall previous versions (this must be done before a clean download)... http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html

Two: Memory Cleaner. There are several free one's out there so search yourselves. Just Google 'memory cleaner' .. This is the one I use, simple, small, safe and easy to use. http://www.wisecleaner.com/wise-memory-optimizer.html

Three: CCleaner. Safely cleans computer of garbage files and fixes registry errors. I've used it for years. The free download is fine. http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download

Four: Clean Master for PC removes junk and unneeded files that CCleaner overlooks. http://download.cnet.com/Clean-Master-for-PC/3000-18512_4-76174439.html

Five: Clear your Flash Player and check settings settings. http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager06.html

Six: The Chrome browser automatically updates all Flash components, and it works great for me with this game.

Seven: No matter what operating system or system platform, this article provides how-to, direct downloads for uninstallers for PC and MAC. http://bgr.com/2015/07/27/how-to-uninstall-flash-pc-mac-chrome/

Again, REMOVE OLD VERSIONS OF FLASH BEFORE A FRESH INSTALL. Do not just rely on the installer, as residual files are left behind on installs.

Test your computer's Flash capabilities: Flash Benchmark

http://www.snailsanimation.com/benchmark08_play.php ... The site runs Flash animations and measures how well your computer displays them. It measures how many Frames Per Second your computer can draw on the display. The more FPS, the better the animations look.

Another tip I've seen from players posting here include checking your firewall and DNS settings. Make sure you're not running two firewalls. Windows 10 wants to enable the Microsoft firewall, despite one you already have running, meaning you're running two firewalls, which is not needed. It's actually a default setting in Windows 10 that needs to be double checked to make sure it is off.

From WGT "System Requirements" thread, some other tips. http://www.wgt.com/forums/p/635/2552.aspx

    Disable Popup Blocker

To disable your popup blocker, follow these instructions:http://www.wgt.com/forums/p/252/854.aspx

    Enable cookies on your browser

Instructions on how to enable cookies:
    https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/61416

Close and exit all other applications

Make sure the browser with WGT playing is the only application running on your system. Also regularly running a program to clean your system of spyware and viruses will greatly increase the game's performance. Any application that uses your system's RAM (memory) or CPU will slow down your game.

    Flash Storage Settings

Make sure your browser allows flash content. Go to the Adobe Storage Setting Manager by clicking here . Move the slider so that you are allotting at least 100KB to storing flash objects. Check the "Allow third party Flash content" and "Store common Flash components" checkboxes.

    Security Settings

Make sure the security setting on your browser is not set to High. This may prevent you from viewing certain things on the site. Also, people who have CA Security Center installed on their computers have been known to have problems viewing the site. Disabling some of the features in the program seems to solve the problem. You can read more about it here: http://www.hallicious.com/2009/05/ca-security-center-browser-problems . Please note that WGT has not tested these suggestions and that you should follow them at your own risk.

I use all of these programs and fixes safely, they've never damaged my computer and I rarely have a game disconnect in match play.

If anyone has other tips, I'll update this post accordingly.

Gl, hf and enjoy your future rounds.

Excellent post!!  Thank you.  In addition to helping with disconnects I imagine it will also address a slew of other issues that players might be having. This is well organized, well sequenced and easy on the eyes.  -Keith

Doesn't have that option anymore when you Rclick game and click settings...Just gives you the option to enable/disable Flash

I use Maxthon and I run Advanced System Care 9 a free program once a day and I never have a problem with matchplay. If I have an issue its with alt shot and rarely is it bad enough to cause 3 disconnects and a forfeit.  I also have another free program called Driver Booster3 which i run once a week to make sure my drivers are up to date.

Partially true..da HO actually advises his neighbor to do these things. In the spirit of "sharing", da HO has wired into his neighbors internet cable. This wasn't a problem until the neighbor got a huge bill from a porn site. He mentioned to da HO that it must be his missus, and that he didn't know she had a kinky side...da HO nodded sagely, then asked if he had any cold beer in the fridge and could he borrow his lawn mower.

"Playing the good guy now and trying to help others will be seen as a farce by the many that you have angered, but good luck with it anyways."

While most would agree, based on the many examples you posted, that Wade is a bit erratic, the fact remains he took a lot of personal time to post helpful information. We tend to quickly point out flaws and mistakes, but we should also acknowledge the good that people do. I think this is a case in point.

Oddly enough, each version leaves residual files not removed by the installer, which is why Adobe provides a separate uninstaller - found here.

Those settings can be found here, Dan, not in game. Second tab from the left.

Thanks, Bob. I just found 9 old drivers that Microsoft said were up to date. Good program.
