  I have no proof, mind you, but in an effort to present Pebble Beach in the most authentic manner they (WGT) are capable of and (as the Lord knows) the brutal slowness it took them to finally release it, may be part of what you are experiencing. I have been blessed with playing Pebble IRL numerous times and know it pretty well. It is surrounded by very ardent ocean movement from somewhat different directions along with un-tame gusty, forceful wind that is loaded with moisture. Believe me the first time one plays it, their club selection will always be wrong unless they make a mistake. This moisture effects the greens in an amazing fashion. The weather at Pebble affects it in changing, and confusing ways. WGT has presented the course in the most realistic manner I can imagine. It looks harmless and beautiful. And it is beautiful.

  The course plays fine, you just have to watch which version you're playing. There's 2 PB 18 hole tournaments up-one is uneven lies (the first one on the list) and the other one is regular lies.

  Gotta watch which one you play.  :-)

   

  p.s., The odd part is you'd think on the 2nd shot that box that surrounds you would be a clue that something's different.

  WGT is doing the best they can ok guys, enough with the complaining. Just be happy such a cool game as this is free to play online, it's your choice if you want to spend the money on it or not.

  The set up is perfect. You were playing the Nation tournament which has Uneven Lies.

  This is kinda funny. When I first joined I watched every tee shot run out very carefully to see if the ball was above or below my feet. I would aim left and right according to my observations and the ball never got anywhere near the hole on approach. I was playing what we call uneven lies not knowing it wasn't yet part of the game play at that time. Most interesting game we have at our hands here. :)
