  Is anyone else having meter problems today? I have tried 4 different browsers and they are all giving my meter problems. 

  Maxthon , Ice dragon,  water fox, opera, and now google chrome still no decent meter

  The meter plays on your computer.

  So the most likely cause of your problem was something on your computer using up some of the performance of your computer's CPU.

  yeah, its always our PCs...

   

  the game is so friggin off, just admit it will always be a hit and miss, with the meter. My game get to be so choppy at time, I feel like a seizure victim

  Thanks Apex, think it was Excel doing it, had my cpu up to 50. Open office pulls 0

  I had meter problems for a long time when I first started on this site,till one day on my own I found out how to fix it..I have not had a meter problem now in over four years I have a post under everything else to fix a meter,also meter can be hindered by having to many cookies on your browser..you must clear the cookies and also clearing cache will help as well..there are two ways to do this..one is going to your home page and the browser settings on the tool bar...go to history,you will see instructions.. you then put a check mark in box or boxes you want to clear then delete them.

  I have the fire fox browser so it is very easy to do...another way is to go to your control panel..find internet options..right or left click mouse..it will ask if you want a desk top icon..put yes to this question or just click it..then while playing this game and another player is shooting minimize golf screen,click on internet browser.. then delete..it will show what you can delete..click cache and cookies only..then minimize that screen and full screen back to golf..it will delete cookies and cache then close that screen

  I bought a refurbished Dell Optiplex 760 a couple of years ago and rarely have a jerky meter because I maintain my computer very well.

  I live in rural Iowa and have a relatively slow cable modem Internet connection through a small telecommunications co-operative (ISP).

  Note that the OP discovered an application running in the background that was keeping his CPU to busy (@ 50% performance) to play the meter smoothly on his computer.

  Many, many other WGT players have found that meter stutter during the down swing is directly related to how busy your computer's CPU is during the down swing.

  Adobe Flash was create by and is maintained, so far, by Adobe, not WGT.

  By the way - a new release of Flash Player became available today and it is now installed on my computer.

  Excel has always been a resource hog. 

  I don't know if MS ever fixed it, but it used to not even release memory in use after closing. With modern machines, it's not that big a deal, but back in the day, I'd advise people to reboot after using Excel.

  I run Excel 2007 all the time while playing, it's using 0% and 32mb at the moment.  No problem.  It's used for my course notes and various calculations.

  True.  However Adobe Flash is merely running the AS3 code written by WGT to generate the meter.  It's a mystery to WGT why their meter implementation is so extremely sensitive to ANYTHING else running on the CPU.

  With my newer PC, i7 & 16Gb Ram, I don't need to do any of the work-arounds Apex does to get a smooth meter.

  I had a new PC built by a guy from work so we could play Fallout 4. Athlon quad core 860k 3.7 Hz  8.0 Gig ram Nvidia GTX 750 ti. Windows 10 64 bit.

  My meter is a smooth as silk without any hoop jumping as Andyson calls it. With my old new PC ( got it just before Christmas when my old PC crashed) I had a smooth meter except on the few holes where the aim arc was always on.With the newer PC that doesn't even cause a meter skip.
