I don't know how many folk on here follow the English Premier League (football, or for the American's among us soccer) but Leicester City Football Club, who narrowly avoided relegation last season, have only gone and won it with 2 games left to play!

The team cost a total of 21 million pounds to put together while other teams like Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City spent 300 - 400 million.

At the beginning of the season bookies were offering odds of 5000/1 for LCFC to win the title. There were better odds of someone discovering the Loch Ness Monster at 500/1 and Kim Kardashian being the next US president at 2000/1!

I'm not a Leicester City supporter (Everton FC for my sins lol) but even I'm thrilled to bits for them! Their nearest rivals for the title Tottenham Hotspur FC could only draw with Chelsea FC and the title was won :)

...and, they are owned by this guy:  Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha

Now there's a good "English" name for ya...lol

ps: Most love to see the underdogs win (me included), so congrats to the little engine that could.

Yup, me too. Brilliant achievement by the Foxes.

Their manager, Claudio Ranieri, has been a joy to watch/listen to all season long.

Totally deserved - next stop the Champions League!

The odds makers who gave them 5000-1 odds at season's start, and now have to pay out those bets, have probably gone off the premier league also...lol

Yeah CT but they have creamed it in really

All the bets on the top clubs, and there will have been a lot of them, has made up for that.

Good time to be a bookie there. Its like when a 100-1 shot wins a horse race. You can see the bookies slaver forming in the corner of their mouth.......if you look hard enough
