I don't follow or play golf in RLF but for this game I prefer courses which you can score well.  So my top 3 courses, simply because they play easy and you can shoot 56-58 pretty much anytime would be:

Congressional , BPB, and Pinehurst (PB F9 works too).

Courses I absolutely hate would be Olympic (F those trees - at least 2 a round), Oakmont, Chambers, and Merion.

lived right by Olympic Club irl. Said it was a hard course and but he's shot 90s there before. Said he preferred to play Harding Park

My office for almost a decade can be seen in the game.  I had a sixth floor window office looking right over Lake Merced and in the distance you could see (when the bloody fog wasn't socking it in) Olympic and a wee bit of Harding - was pretty cool.  Played it before and from the tips its a beast - when the greens are slick its a nightmare...I totally agree Harding, after the upgrades some years back, is just a super track.  And Lake Merced, you can't even pull in the parking lot without the cops showing up LOL.....though have been out there for the US Open qualifiers a couple of times.  I'll tell you all though, I laugh every time I play Olympic on WGT - the sun just doesn't shine on Olympic very often.  Those who live in the SF area will attest.

Interesting.  As a real life golfer, I'm put off by such scoring as it makes a mockery of the actual game.  The game is far too easy and the clubs too forgiving.  The only real challenge is putting.  Merion, Oakmont, Olympic and Congressional are my favorites.

Agreed.  I use my own unique formula of Vertex angles, flow %, quadrants, and other declining/inclining variables and other multiplicative measures to "approximate the correct line".

At one point I purchased several large size Canvas sheets (from an art shop) and would annotate every single putt, location, break, and flow % by placing a numeral and then *footnote* it at the bottom of the page.  Come to think of it, I should probably start doing this again - my 1 putt % has dropped by 3% since I stopped.

Some people say play by feel.  I save "feel" for real life sports and Rhythm based games such as SC2,  Battlefield and CoD series.  Making me want to throw on some old Black Ops 1 and run the board with Chopper/Dogs and 10 KDR lol.

Lol.  I've always taken my gaming very seriously ^^.  Besides, I'm OCD and love a good project, especially when all the hard work and effort pays off.

And believe it or not, I find it not only VERY FUN!!, I find it quite rewarding.
