I read in the Topgolf merger post that WGT wants to focus on the "social" side of the game for mobile users and the traditional ( whatever that means) side of the game for pc users.
Now I play on my Ipad. We don't have foursomes and in my club there are very few mobile players. Whats more " social" than playing golf in foursomes or being able to play with your mates in a Country club. In my opinion the PC version is way more social than the mobile version. Luckily our CC forum is very active so I can communicate through those.
Don't get me wrong Some of the things you guys did for the mobile are fantastic. Reading in the forums a lot it seems the PC guys have horrendous issues with the swingmeter, on mobile I never experience that. In fact I have yet to see a mobile player come on here and talk about how bad the meter is. So well done to that !!
But guys you have to make the mobile users feel part of the whole WGT family. Like the OP said no UEL and i Think most importantly No way to access the Wgt forums from within the mobile game. I can't tell you how many good posts there are buried between all the shite thats written here, luckily I used the searchbox and I discovered fantastic tips.
Although sceptical at first, the coins feature is valuable for the newbies and judging from the amount of people online, It seems to be working. Problem is that your tier system is wrong. Surely I should play against other legends and not against pro's and tourpro's. And in some of the rooms they are playing fron the same tee as me!!! Below is an example
The guy couldn't even reach the fairway, he then tried to hit it out of there with his 3 iron and moved it six yards. I was just beginning to type " Hi bud take a sw" and then he forfeited in disgust. And you guys know, I couldn't blame him. Playing of legend tees against a Legend player is very very unfair.
Cmon Wgt I love this game to Death. Give us access to all the features the Pc players have so that we can grow as a whole. How many mobile players will Qualify for this years US open. I don't think even one. But if you continue to improve and give guys a fair chance, then maybe this will change.
Keep up the good work, and always strive to improve !!!
