    Anyone else experiencing this issue???

Over the past month or so now, anytime i have to use a wood on a Par 3 they just seem to fly forever. Latest one being the last par3 on royal St Gearge's. 18-20 wind against, knowing the issue i had i went for my 3 wood rather than driver even though in real terms it should not have been able to reach. Anyway, i hit the shot with around 95% power(again should have meant it would come up well short) and BOOM!!!!!, ball didn't touch ground until it had flown 257 yards. This is not an every now and then thing, it is happening all the time.....Any explanation and possible fix please???

Until someone thinks of something better, try punching your wood tee shots. The punched driver and 3 wood should work well on most longer par 3's. The only hole it might not work very well on is # 3 at Merion. But it might even work well there.

Strange,  after getting the new Nike 3 wd I wanted to test it out on some of the long par 3's to see how it stopped and it played as expected with good stopping for a med/high trajectory club.

I'll report back if it does.

Off the tee will get more distance, ok we know.

Did you add any back spin?

Was the wind direct 12 o clock to 6 o clock in your face?

If you use back spin into a strong direct wind, and if the magnus force is programmed into wgt, the ball may lift up and up and obtain a longer distance. I've heard of other players talking about similar instances. *

Second shot on Kiawah 2nd hole. 238 to go to flag. 8 to 10 mph head wind. Not a difficult shot really, use my 3 wood 245 full spin, in my head thinking I might just be a little short, hit this many times before. without bouncing hits the back of the green in the rough 248! Really.

Second shot on Kiawah is the first hole this nonsense started on. If it had ALWAYS been the case then MAYBE fair enough. But it was something that just started happening out of the blue and many other WOOD shot Par 3's started doing the same. Doesn't matter if i play with top, bottom or nothing, result is always the same...at least 245 yards before landing, even tried 90% hit...same result......against a 19mph headwind!!!!...REALLY, I guess at some point WGT will realise i am NOT upgrading my club until it suits ME and maybe then it will settle down. It's amazing just how many *GLITCHES* can suddenly appear in this game at a point where WGT are ADVISING you to upgrade clubs. The punch shot works well on occasion, but i should really be able to trust hitting my wood on a NORMAL shot, especially my fave 3 wood.
