surely it cant just be me it appears to happen too!

EVERY TIME and i mean every time i play a ready to go or premium tournament the "purely coincidental" eratic meter jumps and speeds increase dramatically!!! how can this be a problem at my end when i rarely happens at all when i am not playing paid for games???

It really is starting to totally spoil my enjoyment of the game and considering how much i spend playing every month I must admit I am seriously considering just giving it up as a dead loss.

I know i am not likely to get any response from wgt themselves, ( as i have mentioned this in posts and submited literally dozens of problem reports with absolutely no interest or improvement) but i really would like to know wether this "FAULT" is ever going to be rectified!

Jon-I would think by now you'd realize the answer is no. It's the nature of this beast and has been that way for as long as I've been here. Clearing and cleaning everything in the world doesn't fix it but will get it to a usable point. That's where your point about the difference in pay tournaments comes in.

I, too, notice a marked difference in meters (for whatever reason) that I believe  happens more frequently if you play fast. If you try to get into your typical groove and take the meter for granted you could get in trouble. Rare is the game you can maintain a consistent tempo without having to be conscious of the ever possible meterfart.

The pay tournaments do play a little different and I've found that playing at a slower pace, on guard for the skip, generally results in better rounds. Doing the 1-2-3 count at the top of your swing also seems to mellow things out. GL

I just played (or at least tried to take part) in a Legend ready go on St Andrews 1st 9.  Meter was stuttering every shot....ball was even stopping for 5 seconds in mid air and the dots on the greens were running slow then fast and stopping completely. I just gave in on the 4th hole even though I was 2 under.

Surely WGT have an obligation to fix this given the fact that they are taking money off participants to play in them. It's like hiring a car with no wheels. No fecking use whatsoever.

I've said it before but I'm gonna stick to my guns this time. No more ready goes. I'll just stick to free tournies and alt shots from now on.

WGT don't have to worry about anything, this was in terms and conditions about being a beta game:

All Beta Tests (Private And Public):

    (1) As a beta tester, you are invited to play beta games for the sole purpose of evaluating the games and identifying errors. Nothing in these Terms, or on the Site, shall be construed as granting you any rights or privileges of any kind with respect to the beta games or content that you find here. The beta games are provided for testing on an "as is" "as available" basis and we make no warranty to you of any kind, express or implied.

    (2) When playing some beta games, you may accumulate rankings, equipment, or other value or status indicators. This data may be reset at any time during the testing process, and it may be reset when the particular game completes this testing phase. In this case, all player history and data will be erased and each player will return to beginner status.

    (3) By starting a beta game, you agree that: (i) playing beta games is at your own risk and that you know that the games may include known or unknown bugs, (ii) any value or status indicators that you achieve through game play may be erased at any time, (iii) WORLD GOLF TOUR (WGT) has no obligation to make these games available, (iv) WORLD GOLF TOUR's Terms & Conditions apply to your use of the games during the testing phase, and (v) if it is a private beta test, you will keep all information about the beta games confidential as stated above and not disclose such information to any other person.

    (4) Beta Test accounts are non-transferable under any circumstances.

So wether you pay to play or not, its at your own risk.  I know when entering some ready go's my meter might skip once in a while, i know it might stop you scoring a birdie or 2, but we KNOW what to expect when we enter, but we stil do because it's one of the best features of the game.

Are you feeling alright?  Doesn't sound like it to me.  Best you go see the doc and get some pills.  The blue ones should get you back into a complaining mood.

Heres something ive noticed as well about Credit games. When you play in a CC unlimited credit tourny, and your meter suddenly dissappears and re-apears 2 inches to the right in a split nanosecond just as you hit it, you think to yourself im not having this. So you go and restart the game, only to find you havent a hope in hell of doing well in the game. No matter how many times you try, your game is going to be bad. But when you finish the round, and then start again, its totally different. Its like there is a memory installed to screw your game.

While im here, i might as well get opinions on the game lately. Ive played many a shot that doesnt add up at all. For example, Im 160 yrds from the hole, with a 10mph tailwind. I take out the 155yrd i have in the bag, apply a little backspin, hit the ding, and the ball lands 20 yrds short (using callaways). What is that all about? Ive played the courses long enough now to know that something is very different. My best i think is 60 for 18 holes, but lately im lucky to make a 67. Any ideas on this folks?
