I have only been a member since Dec. 2010 but I have played several hundred alt. shot matches. It is not my problem that they do not count towards moving up through the tiers. I play in RG events daily and stroke play rounds when I want to test new clubs. I find it boring just playing stroke play rounds to move up a tier. Sooo....all of the "Legend" whiners out there who think all other players who are not a Legend cheat...piss off. As far as the Calloway balls are concerned...it's a money maker for WGT. Yes they do make the game somewhat easier but you still have to hit the shot. One final thought about the Legends of this game...if you think most of us "lower" tier players are cheaters then play only against your "Legend" gods.

pfft yer all talk it seems.. you can't seriously expect ppl to believe somebody can shoot 57 of the bat and then avg 56 from the back tees with 151 rr.. not a whine or a cry just a statement of my honest opinion.

And hopefully never to be one.

    Just saying. (((((smile)))))

Sorry dufus,  you started with the insults, "hopfully never to be one"(legend) is an admission,  shut up already!

I used to say that often too but had a change of mind and stepped up to the plate to play off the back tees and am enjoying the new challenge.

    tbe

So Johniewino now admits that he knows that its harder to play under Legend conditions, And any dufus knows you dont need callaways for short wedges into slower greens, but they might come in handy on a 200yd  approach to tournament speed greens, which only the Legend tier has to deal with in every round on any course!

TBE at no time did I ever admit that its harder to play under legend conditions. What I said was "hopefully never to be one". I am not good enough at this game and nor will I be as I have more important things in life to do.

It just seems to me, that the legends that are doing all the bitching about the t/m tiers and lower, and they know who they are, are not the upper echelon of the legend tier. WGT put them in the legend tier before they were ready for it and now they whine as to how unfair it is. To those few thats doing it I say just deal with and suck it up.

So as far as I am concerned case closed.

I like reading what people write in the Forums, having a bit of a laugh when people abuse each other...it's really good reading.  Just remember this an open forum and whether it's right or wrong, everybody has the right to their opinion and there's no need to abuse another person...but it's good reading though...lol

I'm a nearly 2 week old Legend and at the start I was doing really good, now the game has been hammering me something shocking...really struggling to make par for the 9/18. I'm not enjoying shooting high scores, but enjoying the challenge of shooting a low score again which keeps me coming back. As a 'TM', level 80+ (so I had the cannon) and I got really bored at Driving/Flop to the greens.. Actually some of the short holes were difficult because I was having 3 quarter shots, sometimes going all over the place because of it.

The Black Tees are really good, Full shots, just fantastic... my problem is my 2nd shots at the moment, because I'm not used to the longer irons, my shots are not as close to the hole anymore...Putting is still very good so that's not a problem.

Using my Favorite balls (GI-Sd) and they are good, no probs off the tee... Haven't had a meter problem for weeks, so a couple nights ago decided to use the Callaways, which I had in the bag and boy o boy what a mistake, meter decided to have a party, jumping all over the place. After a few more games of misery went back to the GI-Sd's and no meter spikes. When using the Callaways sometimes they have a mind of there own, dropping short, overshooting the hole, going lef/right at wrong time. They are great when you do a great shot, but for me far and few between...and the meter issue I have with them.

    Cheers

Ok, so let me get this straight. People are saying the better your skill is, the more access you should have to make it even easier to beat players of a lower skill? The less skill you have the more you should be stuck with equipment that makes it harder to compete with those of a higher skill?

I kinda understand the sandbag complaint, I tried to NOT make Master so I could be competitive as a Tour Pro in some Tournaments. I failed.. as soon as I got good enough to compete.. I made Master. Granted I didn't shoot any high scores on purpose to avoid it.. I just didn't quit if I had a bad game.Despite keeping my average real, I still made master in 41 days.

Despite the sandbag thing, I know if I have the money.. i can go to a pro shop and purchase the very best equipment available.. no matter what my skill is. Now this is not real life, this is much easier than real gold, so I can see holding back a little on the equipment. But the balls.. I use the callaways, and yes they are good, but I really do not think that they are so good that they turn a player with little skill into a great player.

I think the value is waaaay overstated in a lot of these post.
