  Hi WGT and fellow golfers,

  It crossed my mind that it would be nice 2 have the possibility of playing a playoff when players are tied 4 1st place. The current rules are rather indistinct, so why not an option 2 play a playoff, just like real life....and it's fun 2.

  Of course there are some practical hurdles 4 this, that's why I'm speaking about a possibility of playing a playoff. What I'm thinking about is 2 apply the playoff on weeklies&montlies (and majors), not RG's. The leaders get 1 extra day 2 play another 9 holes round on the same course and conditions. If u decide not 2 play, u'll still finish T2. If nobody decides 2 play the current rules will be applied....

  It's just an idea and I'm curious about your toughts...

   I think the extra day would get someone screwed out of a win and it pushes payouts back for at least another day.

  The current tiebreaker system, while a bit cumbersome, is very distinct.

  I have doubts of a playoff actually working but I believe the current system kind of a lottery as it only rewards great comebacks not solid play on difficult holes. Would love to see "difficulty ratings" for holes based on cumulative stats of wgt'ers

  Well, don't think there's the need 2 change current rules considering the replies, or lack of it...:( :). ....think that it should be introduced 4 majors when players are tied 4 1st though.

  It would only push the payouts back for those involved in the playoff.  The positioning of everybody else isn't changed, and the distribution of percentage of the purse won't be changed either.
