  Is it me or.....

  Since WGT scrambled all the Ready Go tourney conditions again (I like it, keeps us on our toes), I've  noticed that the tourney greens on some of the courses, like Kiawah front 9, STA front 9, Oakmont front 9, are a tick or 2 slower than previous tourney greens.  Something between v fast and tourney.  On Oakmont 18 they seem pretty normal.

  For example, I have a Rossa putter at 15, 30, 60 intervals, right? On the previous tourney greens they went max (given a relatively flat lie) 20, 40+ and 80+... give or take a few feet.  Now I find that those numbers come up short by a couple feet at 15 and by as much as 5 feet on the 30 and 60.

  Anybody else notice this?

  Been mentioned in a few other threads.  There is def some different variations of 'tourney' speed in play.

  Pretty lame not knowing how hard to hit your first midrange+ putt of the round.  Either make tournament the same at all times,  give us a stimpmeter, or a practice green to hit a couple 20 footers prior to our round.  The guessing game BS they've been doing (since 2009, not a new thing) is just silly, we cannot look at a virtual green to determine speed as we could in real life.

  In recent days I've never had so many putts stop inches short of the cup. Combine the inconsistency of the tournament greens with a variety of different Ready Go conditions and I don't know who I am or why I'm here anymore.

  I think its about time we have little talk with the greens-keepers......."make them an offer they can't refuse"...;)

  Next new item in the pro-shop a "virtual green speed indicator". Of course you would have to be at level 100+ to purchase one.

  Yes it p*sses me off when something is labelled as a thing, but is not that thing. I think it would actually be better if it was announced that the greens where slow medium or fast and possibly have 3 grades in the fast top tier. This way at least you know that you have to judge the green rather than see your first putt going to the centre of the hole, knowing you have hit it perfect and pulling up 3 inches short. Or on the other hand having a down hill side winder that you over hit.

  I think the stimpmeter idea would work, just give us an approximation that 10 feet standard power goes 6, 8, 10, 12 or 14 feet in advance of the round so the first putt is less of a lottery.

  I have had two putts in the last couple days that I hit knew I made, only to not hear "cup". Look at replay the ball looks like it pulled a parachute right before the hole WTF!!!!    JB
