Has anyone else noticed a nearly new phenomenon in putting with these 'lip-outs?  I've recently been having 3-4 of them for each round I play.

My question:  Am I getting too good at putting and not paying enough money in order to eliminate the lip-outs?  Being very serious, I really believe scores are determined by the amount of money paid to WGT.  I would be glad to upgrade my balls but WGT would just keep taking them 'out of play'.  Hmmm, the starter balls last forever and I've paid for better balls only to have them yanked.  How come WGT?

First and and foremost, WGT is in business to make $$$$$. How do you think MR.WGT made his millions??? Yes, balls do not last, so if you can handle the ridiculous meter speed of the "free" ball by all means use it. If not you have to find a ball that you're comfortable with and decide whether you want to spend the credits,

[okay, can't resist the urge---I'm 63 and could really use some NEW balls!  LOL--sorry]

I will more than likely get slammed for this, but it seems as of late, the putting / dot speeds have been altered again. It's either that, or my tinfoil hat is wearing too thin, allowing way too much alien influence to affect the outcome of my perfectly placed putts. The last week has been extremely painful. I am definately going to enlist the help of some of my Cajun friends to repair my Mojo, an' mebbe stick a few pins in ol' mista'  WGT's ass to get him to set things right.

    Doc :)

I have rounds with multiple lip outs too. Almost every time, it's due to putting just a little too firmly.

I've seen no change in speed, and I just played two games on 13 greens.

At least someone is being honest, speed and line are the two reasons for lipouts. happens on a real course, happens here too.

As for using "rocks" they putt the same as any ball.....just a faster meter.

As for buying balls, as already said, WGT is a business and we have choice. For me, the cost of buying balls reflects pretty cheap entertainment and for many, all it takes is an investment of their time if they do not or cannot open their wallet.

I noticed an increase in lip outs a few months ago.  I think there was an unrealistically low about before the change though so not so bothered with seeing more.

Can't see why they would make any change on the green in order to make $$$$ as ball hits do not count when putting(unless CTTH)

Green speeds vary all the time, you have to adapt on the first or ASAP.

I - as a timid putter - have the most problems with putts staying short by
minimal amounts, 1, 2, 4 inches. Me thinks under my tin foil hat that this
    has increased significantly months ago.

Those missed putts on both sides raise the revenue when a player repeats
the game to earn his "deserved" score. Honi soit qui mal y pense.
