I'm wondering why I have never played a course with no wind? I mean the skys are blue, but there apparently is always a Tropical Storm on every course on the WGT. I must say this is the one thing about this game that really is so annoying. If the wind was blowing 24mph at Beth Page most of the local schools would be closed and I'm sure the power would be out as well......SERIOUSLY ENOUGH WITH THE STUPID WIND SPEEDS...it's stupid. Use realistic wind speeds......

Thank you and now I have to go check the local bowling alley as I heard there is a flood in eveyone ....ooops i mean the WBT Bowling Site.....

It's the only way they can maintain some degree of difficulty and credibility for the game. The scores are low enough as it is - personally it doesn't bother me, if I mess up in a high wind it's because I've misjudged something. I'm sure a random element has also been introduced whereby the ball doesn't vdo what you're expecting it to do in the wind. Yesterday on the 1st hole in St Andrews RG I had a shot of 92 yds straight into a 23mph wind. I hit my wedge, which normally goes 105 yds. The ball sailed straight over the pin and landed 13yds past i.e. it went 105 yds so a 23mph wind had absolutely no effect on the shot. No problem with that either, it happens in real life sometimes - the wind can momentarily drop or change direction while the ball is in the air.
