SweetiePie:
It all depends upon where you are playing, the distance, the lie, the green speed, the break, etc. To rely only on the flop is stupid except for the inexperienced player. The wonders of an extremely supurb short game requires the mastery of the punch, pitch, chip & flop and knowing when, where and which to choose.
I have to respectfully disagree with you SweetiePie. While I am far from the best player here, I've been playing for about 18 months now, and on probably 90%+ of shots inside 35 yards, I use the flop. I will admit that this is probably waaaaay too high of a percentage, but considering that I have holed out 195 flops for birdie or better, and that even when I miss I am usually within 3 feet of the cup, i am going to stick with the old standby of if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
