My son, who only has to complete his 2 qualifying rounds (got rained out Monday in San Diego) for his PGA teaching credentials) and employed at Oak Valley CC here in Ca. home of PGA Pro Dave Stockton, told me Stockton designed the Rossa line of putters. At least the one with the red faced.
Dave told my son, the reason for the "red" on the face is when lining up your putt your right hand should be cocked pressing the putter handle foward just enough to "not see" the red, which in theory, insures a consistant putting grip and enhance a square impact on the upper half of the ball through the putting stroke.
