I have the Cleveland RTX 2.0 60 degree (spin 4.5) and RTX 2.0 64 degree (spin 3.5) wedges.  The back spin from the 60 degree wedge is very pronounced while the 64 degree wedge does not back up at all.  Granted, I am using starter balls but have used upgraded balls as well.  The spin relationships does not change noticeably.

I don't understand why there is so much more backspin on the 60 degree wedge as opposed to the 64 degree wedge.  Don't the 60 and 64 relate to the degrees of the club surface in relationship to the ground?

    Hi,

The spin rating for each club will tell you how much the ball will be influenced by applying spin to the ball. Higher the number for spin rating, the more the ball will be affected by spin. This would be why the RTX 2.0 60 degree (spin 4.5) would be more pronounced than the 64 degree version (spin 3.5). Hope this helps!

    All the Best,

    RenoRick:

Don't forget that their levels (thus their quality) are mighty different. For me, this is enough of an explanation.

And why is there a Starter wedge in your bag? Compared to the two others, it is pure crap IMNSHO.

The 64° Cleveland wedge is a bit of a strange beast, use full backspin and it may not backup at all, or backup just a little then stop dead. Whether this is a programming fault or a feature I'm not sure, but to get it to backup like you think it should, use a little bit less than full backspin to achieve the desired result.
