it's not wgt that's compromised...it's adobe flash that has the vulnerability.

Adobe Flash exploit to be patched next week

    by Darren Allan

Adobe has issued a warning that a critical vulnerability has been detected in its Flash player.

The vulnerability is exploited via a corrupt Flash file packaged inside a Microsoft Excel file. Apparently the XLS file sets up the system memory to make the attack more effective, and with success it installs persistent malware on the target machine.

Just happened to me. I suspect it's from the flash-based banner ad in the scorecard screen.

Adobe Flash has been updated in the last few days.  Install the latest version and that should fix the problem.

Keep getting "FakeAlert" while in game client. This reqires me to run an immediate Virus scan--44 Minutes--and the least important factor is tha it shuts me out of WGT immeiately--can't finish any game.

Trojan.FakeAlert is a virus from the Trojan family. These programs secretly install themselves in the system, can be remotely controlled by the attacker and are automatically downloaded off an infected website. This specific Trojan installs fake spyware files and a rogue antispyware program to scan and detect the created spyware files on the infected computer, in hopes of tricking the user into purchasing the rogue antispyware.

It for sure came from this site, most likely in an ad displayed on the page.
