are the grid boxes consistent size? If so what are measurements? Not looking for a computer program to figure it for me but a general rule of thumb?

The pin is easier to use-it's always 7 feet high. I'm assuming you mean for aiming purposes as I'm not sure how knowing that changes how you figure distance.

Assuming you mean the grid you get when you switch to chip/pitch as your shot selection.

Yes. Each "box" is 2 feet square. The entire grid is 30 ft square. The outer edge doesn't really exist. You have to look carefully/zoom in to see the entire grid. For down and dirty, I consider the little blue triangle in the hole map to be 24 yds across.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks guys this does help. I think it will help make me more consistent to have a known constant.

    Not in real life.

The rules of golf don't specify a flag stick height, and courses where it is often very windy often use short flag sticks.

Actually I find it easier to use the full grid as 26 feet. That is because at least on my PC the last square on each end is not a full 2 foot square so I ignore the last square on each end.

The aimer triangle appears in the images only because it's there when the grid is shown, and I used the grid as a  way to easily measure and compare distances.  Each grid line is 2 feet, and each grid box is 28 feet.

I've heard others say that. You can see the last bit, but since it isn't framed, it's difficult. The reason I think of it as 30 is because actually I think in terms of yards on approaches not feet, and with the wind VEM, I find it gets me close enough.

I really use the blue triangle off the tee. It's a time saver.
