I am level 86 and I have recently made Legends tier. The biggest trouble I now face is the shot of around 210-215 yards on many holes. Is it worth getting a Hyrid for this? I tried these out early on when at Amateur/ Pro etc but always found them to be a bad clubnever flew where they said they would it seemed even when dinged. Are the better ones like the TM R15 level 82 suitale for this yardage? My irons are ike Vapor Level 85 that do go to 220 so fit the 210 number but I find the 205 yardage 4 iron wont reach and the 220 3 iron wont stop. Will a Hyrid fit this 210-215 yardage with some stop is what I am after?  I am sure some of the more experienced players in Legends and above will know the answer or maybe remember being in my position now? Cheers

Most will suggest not to give up a wedge for the hybrid. Talk to someone who has the lvl 85 irons and see how far the full back spin 3 irons goes. You can also try the lvl 53 callaway balls. They had an extra half spin. Plot your club and get exact yardages with different spin. If you can afford it the lvl 48 nike balls stop very well.

Why have a hybrid at all?

A 3w will punch out of rough perfectly well.

The distances stated by the OP are covered by 3 & 4 irons.

No hybrid will stop better than a decent iron.

The Lvl 48 Nike ball for 400 creds will stop better than what you are using now, with the added benefit of a slower meter speed.

Since switching from the RSi2s to the level 94 Max irons, I've found good use for the Adams l88 hybrid I've had for a while but rarely used.

Since the 3 iron in the Max set is a 215 yard club, the hybrid fills the gap between the 3 iron and the 3 wood. It's a great club for longer par 3s and second shots on par 5s.

In that bag, I've had to drop the 100 yard 56 degree wedge, but the PW in the Max set is 110 yards with a 94 yard punch, so it handles those shots decently.

Another reason I'm glad I have the Stand Bag +. I can't fathom why WGT discontinued it.

They had too many bugs that were directly related to the stand bag plus.
