I would like to learn how to adjust for wind speed.

Example I have an 150 yd shot left to the pin but the wind is straight against me at 24 mph. How many additional yards should I add to my shot to offset the the 24 mph wind.

    Thanks in advance

    I use Headwind = Yardage * (2+Wind/180) = .066.  Tailwind = Yardage / (Wind/-260) = .0385

    Others I know use Headwind = Yardage * (1+Wind/180) = .061.  Tailwind = Yardage / (1+ Wind/-260) = .042

The usual rule of thumb, which is pretty close, is to add yards at wind speed/2, or in your example, 12 yards. Your mileage may vary. Mine certainly does.

it matters not about what formula u apply...in my experience the game only uses wind randomly.....many many time i have had +20 wind make no diff to my shot and also -20 the same...lol....its a hit and hope game...

Have to disagree here o_^.  The OP would have around a 171 yard shot.  Good formula's in conjunction with solid notes are the key.

Just take a look at anyone with decent average distance to pin and CTTH stats.  In order to get consistent shots you need account for the wind properly.
