Yupps again and again and again.

It's good to see people in WGT using their imagination once in a while...with the latter prevailing.

All of this weeks free tournaments Heavy Conditions....again....for Yancy's sake!

& before the usual WGT faithful chime in.....the last 5 RG's I've entered were Heavy Conds again. Yes there were low & moderate wind RG's but on slow as sh*t, moderately slow at sh*t,, very fast ( a little faster than fast as slow as sh*t ) greens and I like tournament greens....so I was pretty much humped.

Thank god I'm off to Paris for 2 weeks tomorrow and hopefully my connection will be so slow I'll be unable to log on.

I don't mind heavy conditions but why all heavy conditions again. ?

It's becoming so predictable and so boring.

It never used to be this boring.....what happened? did someone's cat die?

if WGT must make them all heavy conditions....can they at least throw in a couple of tailwinds instead of the 30mph full in the kisser head winds...to jazz it up even just a little.

It-s boring because there is no consistency to the winds. Then people tell you that that is what makes it challenging.

If you have played 100s of rounds on here, you know when you have hit it well. Even in heavy winds. Then, the result leaves you with a 30 ft putt or off the green, it gets dull pretty quick.

Then you put that hole behind you and find that your facing a 30 mph in your face that will probably mean you don-t make the fairway, meaning you don-t clear the bunker out of the rough etc. etc.

    Agreed. It-s not fun.

FWIW. All those FREE tournaments should be SINGLE go IMHO. Just like the RGs. That would make them interesting. Any heavy wind issues and you can scrap the round and go onto another. Not have 20 goes on the same tourny.

Some peeps have the patience to go in and play the first 5 holes and keep repeating it until they are 3 or 4 under. That-s just dogged resistence, and too much time on your hands. I go in and look at the leaderboards, see the 59-s and 60-s posted and go back to the RGs. Not interested in squabbling over 5 credits with a hard fought 66 or 67.

Well said Pete.  I rarely play the Unlimited tournaments now becasue you can guarantee you have to score at least 5 under for 9 holes to even be in the top 70, and I've never done that on BPB or Oakmont with no wind let alone gales!

I don't play the tournaments anymore. Just go to ranked stroke play and let the conditions be what they may, lots more fun too.

yupps I'm sick of hitting 71yrd chips to a 75 yrd pin with an 18mph tailwind only to see the balls land 65 yrds and stop dead.

Yep, no skill there just a lottery.

And people tell you that wind blusters. Well, their talk is bluster. If WGT are allowing for blustering wind then the wind meter should be on the constant move like other golf games.

I have got better from short in, as you learn (or get advised) that the wind has less effect. But how you play a longer iron in heavy winds is a lottery.
