There seems to be a bug in the WGT country Club tournaments ,  We need a way to delete the doubles . Many times two tournaments are made , Duplicates ,  Not because we want two tournaments , There seems to be a problem in the system somewhere ,  We can cancel a bracket tournament however we can not cancel any other ones ,  Many times there are credits lost ...  Give the owners a delete option .  I don't want to contact CS  every other day , That's a pain in the butt ..

I think it was alosso that posted a work around recently.  Once you click to publish the tournament to the CC and the thing in the browser starts spinning to update the page, you need to stop it within a few seconds to prevent a double post.

I usually allow about 5 to 7 seconds then click the cancel button .  Usually it will stop it with just one post.  Once in a while it will cancel the Tournament completely and you have to start over.  Best work around available right now.

    Hope this helps.

Additionally (a CC member found this out the hard way) if you create a bracket tournament, it apparently must be full before they can delete it. The member put up 3 sponsored tourneys (2 by accident) and that was the reply he got.

Edit - Ms Fish did hint that she would stop playing before he handed the reins over at TPC, and life had just got to frantic......there is life after WGT.....so I am told

I deleted a bracket tournament yesterday because it was a double , 2000 credits .

It was not full ,  Only had one person entered .

Interesting, the tournament(s) in ours were not created by the owner, and he at that stage had no tools to delete the duplicates.

Perhaps it has changed or could be due to the ownership changing previously.

I recently had the opposite experience.  I set up a tourney, then suddenly had doubts as to whether I'd made it single play and hit cancel. It returned me to the set up page, it turned out it was already single play and I hit create again.

And found the tournament was listed twice.

This is the only time I've had it happen to me, I have seen it before in the club though so yes, it would be very nice if the owner could delete duplicate tourneys.
