  I've tried to install this, but with no luck whatsoever.. is it corrupted?

  The message says;

  "api-ms-win-crt- runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer.

  Try re-installing to fix."

  I've had to employ session restore after each try and return to my old browser (earlier version of CID) because it blocks all of my desk top options.

  Any and all tips appreciated :^)

  The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer.

  The problem is that the KB2999226 (Universal CRT) which is part of the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 failed to install...

  When you uninstalled Ice Dragon did you delete all user profiles as well? If you didn't you might not be able to install an older version without running into some problems.

  I had that problem on my old PC when I tried to go back to an older version of Comodo Dragon and didn't delete the user profile which was from a newer version. .Kept getting an error message about the using an older version on a profile from a newer version.
