    Dangeris:
So the latest budgets for the equiqment Alosso mentioned is about:

    4330 Credits

    Sounds investible for the moment.

Slowly, slowly! You are only Amateur, plenty of time for purchases. Better equipment will come with the next levels. Buy when you need them clubs.

And, as I said: No putter below 500 cr.

If you have a mobile device (smartphone/tablet), have a look at buying credits on it within the WGT app, instead of on the web site wgt.com.

    As an example:

Buying here on wgt.com 5000 credits is $50 USD.  That = 67.52 CAD today.

However, if I fire up the mobile app (again on android), I can buy 5300 credits for 62.02 CAD.

    300 more, and $5 less.

As an added bonus, since the mobile app uses Google play as its funding source, I can setup any payment method I want, including paypal, and have the credits come directly out of my linked bank account in CDN funds.  Much better than using a Canadian credit card internationally to get smoked by the exchange rate.

Check it out, and good luck!

I'm with alosso.  Bought the R11's as a full set on a free rental weekend (still have them), and they did me right until I upgraded to the Nikes I have now.  Got the Ghost Spider putter(lvl35), and did up till same as R11's.

I stayed with starter wedges until I could get the 70+ Clevelands.

Big tip is to be patient.  Watch lots of ads, and complete offers in the meantime (or just spend money if you're in the position to do so). Don't waste your credits on unnecessary clubs upgrades, or high level balls.

Biggest tip is just to have fun.

    Scott

Agree re using Android.  I don't know what it's like elsewhere outside the US, but we get ripped off by Apple here in Australia.  5300 credits through Google Play store is $63.69AUD, whereas the Apple App Store will slug you $79.99AUD.  Ludicrous, and unjustifiable disparity, but I best not start on that....

The starter ball has the fastest meter speed.  Have you tried getting some of the Wgt golf balls.

Not saying getting expensive ones but you can get good cheap golf balls that slow the meter down a bit.

I don't care what the stats say I think English is the language of business

Depending on how much you want to spend, lots of options OP, though the returns to equipment diminish as you go up.
