Not really that difficult. I got there under the old system, before RG and MP wins against higher tiers could tier you up. Took 5 months and 223 ranked rounds (150 was the minimum required). Wasn't difficult, I just played 2-3 hours aday, mostly practice

To clarify what I meant by "not likely": I meant that a person is not likely to get to Legend tier by only playing 240 ranked rounds and nothing else. It's likely the person played a lot more than that (either by not finishing the round and posting a score or by playing a lot of practice rounds, as a couple of examples).

It took me just over 4.5 months to get to Legend. But I had played about 700 ranked rounds to get there.

So you win by not allowing opponents enough time to make the shot. Hmm, I would think you'd want their BEST round, being competitive 'n all

I would agree completely with your thinking Robert.  I brought up my experience to show that another way is possible.  When i first started playing i didn't read the forum, or the FAQ's and had no knowledge of how things worked.  i played "practice" rounds and some WGT weekly/monthly tournaments until i reached pro level and "discovered"  bracket tournaments.  I don't know my Ranked Round count when i made Legend but i would guess it was also at least 800+.

It took me about 10 1/2 months to make Legend, and while I had one streak where I was playing very well leading up to that move,  I was by no means a prodigy.  I'd say I was more like someone who rode the short bus in how I learned the game.

It took me longer I believe than renniw52 to advance from TM to Legend, but, I only played ranked stroke, and alt, very few if any match play. Aside from the added aggravation ,I see very few benefits from this advancement. Being somewhat of a masochist, I will continue to plod along. In lieu of flowers, sleeves of balls may be contributed to my  account.

    Doc :)

Did I mention, I'm currently equipped with starters ?

ive just looked a legend tier player

he as only had 240 ranked rounds

    64 ave

    and $34.81

    am i missing something?

What you might be seeing is a player who registered through Facebook then WGT let them rejoin through WGT keeping everything except their  original name and their stats which now only show what he or she has done since the switch from Facebook to WGT.

    2 top players did that.

I know that is the case for me i joined thru facebook but wgt let me move my account over but had to hv  a new name and my stats restarted. it says i started in January of 2016 but i started in March of 2015 back on Facebook . So it looks like i really moved up from hack to TM fast lol. when in reality took me longer like most people on here .

Similar to me it appears.  I hit legend with 203 RR and a 61.94 average. Basically almost a full point early.

I was playing a couple Ready gos a day for about a week prior. . Generally finishing in top 10. Often in top 5. I can't tell you what the algorithm is but I tiered up when I won a RG. It was my first win as  a TM and I had one previous win as a Master. Ironically both wins were the Back 9 of Chambers.

I was hoping to make some more credits before I tiered up but it is what it is. I don't sandbag. I played the game however the setups were. Didn't purposely try to tier up didn't purposely try to avoid it either.

My current average is a 64. My guess is that it will probably hang out around 63-64 until I saturate and the bad rounds start dropping off.  That's what happened when I was in the TM tier.

    -Myth

    edit:

TLDR summation: Play Ready Gos. Place high and win.
