I was curious if when others play the same tournament, do they get exactly the same wind conditions or does it vary randomly within the range of Low/Moderate/High/Heavy for each player?

The wind in not identical by direction/hole for every player but it is identical in intensity.

I.E: Every will have heavy wind but direction will be different.

that explains a lot. i know my score changes by more than a few strokes depending on the wind directions, especially at St. Andrews.

the only issue with that is that in a single play competition a 30mph head wind for example u can hardly reach some of the holes in regulation, where as with a 30mph wind behind u can reach with a low iron which is a massive advantage
