There's a vortex or something just off the green directly above the hole: chips with any wedge, or putts, don't move at all. Likely reported, always forget to post when it happens to me...

Hi it's a fringe issue. It is same on few other places. The reason it's not moving is because u are hitting it too easy..

Like from the back fringe of #2 on Jokemont. It's dead straight so you think it's a gimme, then it only goes 6 inches!

Yep, it's on the fringe.  I've hit it hard enough to knock it into the water & it barely moves.  It's a downhill chip, should really be baby soft & trickle down.

Unfortunately, I have been in that position too. It seems it should be a delicate putt or very delicate chip, but neither shot will move the ball! You have to chip it and use more than 1/2 power on what ever chip u use. I guess you could pitch or punch also. If you get in that spot get ready for at least a bogey!

I just had a fringe shot on a huge mound at the back of St Andrews #13. It was 36ft and 24in downhill so I played the flop shot. The ball moved 7 inches then slowly rolled to 6ft.
