There seems to be a big gap in driver levels since the Nike level 95 has been removed .

    There is a level 88 , 89 , 90 , & 91

Then it goes to level 96

    That's a big gap don't ya think ?

Yep definitely agree slim pickins up there.

Since there's no point in buying anything that's not a 287 minimum, I figure I can start looking sometime near the end of October when I reach level 96.  If I wait till 100 for the new Callaway Fusion, well that'll be April of 2018.  For the best driver in the land, we're looking at ~Sept of 2019.

Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly, but wasn't that the way it was before WGT reduced the Nike equipment? In other words, there's been that gap for quite some time, except for the last couple of months with the reduction by 5 levels of Nike equipment.

Absolutely correct Robert.  I went back and looked at a previous spreadsheet by Scott Hope that I still have to double check.

The level 95 Nike was only level 95 for a few months. Before they reduced all Nike gear by 5 levels it was level 100. The gap didn't used to be that big. The R11s before the removed it was something like level 94 I believe.

Well actually the L94 driver was in a way brought forward to L90 with extra yardage as well.So it doesn't really affect in a negative way at all for those wanting to upgrade.

Yes it was, and by memory(or am I thinking of the 3W) was originally at Lvl 90.....but was too close to the R11 at level 89 (I think)....so got yanked before I got there......

However it is a long time between levels unless players are a slave to the game and play (or have played) daily. For those who have not, or will not, the distance is a long slog and certainly zero incentive. I know players who have left, partially for that reason - probably the wrong reasons, but a reason.

I am level 100, and a club at level 103 is not attainable.....so WGT probably need to rethink their strategy as players like me will simply never upgrade.
