There should be some penalty for quitting!I pay $for passes, etc.and someone gets in bad situation and quits.every time!I have children so I know things happen.but if I quit you should not have to suffer?it happens too frequently.

    2 simple solutions.

1 don't play multi player rounds with random players. Play only with friends you know won't quit.

2 Don't use passes in a multi player round. Use it in a solo tournament round to get the maximum amount of XP's.

I hate seeing all the WD in Bracket tournaments too. Perhaps they should charge a small fully refundable fee that you get back just for playing. If you WD, then the collected fees could be paid out to the winners per payout rules. The WGT could keep a percentage for themselves to make it worth the trouble. ...just a thought.

    pay $for passes

I guess you did not get the memo, so I'll tell you want that memo states - Under No Circumstances Pay For Free Country Club Passes - expect if you belong to The clash winning club, then spend your @$$ off!

I get where you're coming from on this but there may be many reasons why a player has a WD showing, only some of which are their own fault. Sure, if a player gives up in a strop because they're not playing well enough, or enters but then doen't bother to play then it's irritating. But if a player tries their best but has repeated 'Unexpected Error' screens, or a power outage, or any of the long list of WGT glitches that stops them from completing a round through no fault of their own...?

All you'll see is WD in all cases, but how do you distinguish between those who were inconsiderate and those who were forced out?

There are already pay-entry tournaments of all stripes, but unfortunately the free to enter ones will continue to have regular WD scores, that's just a fact of WGT life I'm afraid.

+1.  Also there are cases in CC bracket play when top players (Champions) will join to help fill brackets, and then WD so that other tier players have a chance to compete and win.  Quite selfless of them really, and punishing that behavior would be misguided.
